Joan Cohen-Mitchell, Ed.D
Joanie Cohen-Mitchell has worked for over twenty years as an organizational consultant to non-profits, governmental bodies and international non-governmental agencies in St. Lucia, Namibia, Paraguay, Peru, El Salvador, Guatemala and Haiti in addition to her work throughout Massachusetts. Joanie works extensively in the areas of adult literacy, early childhood education, and community development, providing organizational, program, evaluation and staff development services. Additionally, Joanie has taught courses at the University of Massachusetts and the School for International Training. A graduate of the University of Vermont with a B.S. in Early Childhood Education, Joanie holds a M.Ed. in International Education and a doctorate in Educational Policy, Research and Administration from the University of Massachusetts.

Marla Solomon, Ed.D
Marla Solomon, currently
Dean of Graduate Programs at the School for International Training,
has significatn international and consulting experience domestically and abroad. Her primary international experience is in Francophone West Africa and Cape Verde. She teaches courses in research and inquiry, program evaluation, training, and organizational behavior. Her current research and practice interests include women and leadership, cultural differences in adult learning experiences, and using evaluation as a tool for organizational learning. Marla holds a doctorate in nonformal education and international development, with specializations in organizational theory and development, research and evaluation, women's literacy, and training.
